How much does stump grinding cost?
Price depends on the stump's diameter, how many stumps you need done, root spread, and how easy it is for the machine to reach it - not a flat rate. Baldemar gives you a free, no-obligation estimate by phone or on-site before any work starts, so you know the price before we grind.
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes. Every estimate is free with no obligation to book. Call or text (832) 876-0409, or request one online, and we reply the same business day.
How deep do you grind a stump?
We grind the stump and its main root flare well below the surrounding soil line, so it is out of the way of a mower and ready for topsoil, sod, or a new planting.
What happens to the wood chips after grinding?
Grinding leaves a pile of wood chips and sawdust where the stump was. We can leave them for you to use as mulch or haul them away - just tell us which you prefer when you book.
How long does a typical stump grinding job take?
Most single stumps are ground out in well under an hour once we arrive. Larger stumps, multiple stumps, or tight-access jobs take longer - we will give you a realistic time window during your free estimate.
Can you grind a stump close to a fence, a house, or a pool?
Yes - our own job photos show stumps ground tight against a home's siding and inside narrow side yards. We look at clearance and any underground lines before we start so the structure next to it is not damaged.
Do I need to be home during the service?
Not necessarily, as long as we can access the stump and you have confirmed the details and price with Baldemar ahead of time. Many customers just point out the stump and go about their day.
Will the stump grow back?
No. Once the stump and root flare are ground below grade, the tree cannot regrow from that stump. Any remaining root fragments deeper in the soil break down naturally over time.
Do you work weekends and evenings?
Yes - we are open 9 AM to 7 PM, seven days a week, including weekends.
Is stump grinding messy?
It produces wood chips and sawdust around the stump itself, but the surrounding grass and hardscape are left intact. We can haul the debris away or leave it as mulch, whichever you prefer.
Can you handle multiple stumps or a lot-clearing job in one visit?
Yes. We regularly handle multi-stump yards and larger clearing jobs in a single visit - tell us the number and size of stumps when you request your estimate so we can plan the visit properly.
